Lower Ration Costs.
Quality corn is all purchased locally. Our corn and alfalfa hay prices
may be the lowest of the major cattle feeding areas. Because of the local
corn prices we don't need to rely on by-products to cheapen the rations.
Corn is always the best buy and will give the best performance.
Lower Humidity and
Less Moisture. Average daily gains and feed costs are very competitive.
Summer weather conditions are ideal with cool nights and little heat stress
problems.

Sandy Soil -- Less Mud. The sandy soil of the area is recognized as the
ideal soil for a feedlot. Mud is rarely a problem, even in the Spring;
and any mud "tags" that get on the cattle soon fall off.
Excellent Feeder
Cattle Available. We will buy feeder cattle for customers "on order";
and, at times, when we feel the market is right we buy feeder cattle to
offer to our customers. We work with excellent cattle buyers around the
country whom we know and trust. In this area -- the Nebraska Sandhills,
South and North Dakota -- there are large runs of feeder cattle beginning
in the late Summer and run into the following Spring.
