PROVEN FEEDING
PROGRAM
Corn, corn
and more corn. Our major ingredient is corn, which most feeders recognize
as the best feed and the best value. Corn will produce the best performance,
and a carcass and meat quality many packers and consumers prefer.
Rations are computed
on a least cost/best gain basis using corn, high moisture corn, distillers
grain, alfalfa hay, corn silage and supplements. Our nutritionist is Bill
Dicke of Cattlemen's Consulting Service, Lincoln, Nebraska. Bill, one
of the top feedlot nutritionists in the country, works closely with our
staff on our feeding program. Supplements are bid every 90 days and regularly
tested to ensure they meet our standards and specifications.

We pay careful attention
to bunk management. Daily, consumption records are kept and closely watched
and managed. We get cattle to eat at their maximum level where they will
perform their best, gain and be efficient.
Quality. It Pays
! We only buy quality ingredients and stay completely away from damaged
corn and junk feeds. We routinely sample and test all ingredients and
rations.
Real Performance
! ! ! Feedyards base costs of gain, daily gains, etc. on relative "in"
and "out" weights, so it is hard to compare feedlots and feeding
programs only on these figures. We perform where it counts -- on the bottom
line! We have very competitive feed costs -- usually among the lowest
in the industry -- and excellent dressing percentages for the days on
feed. It is real performance that our customers have come to expect.
